The weather stripping still has some flexibility and sponginess but is just about done. I am looking for something to stretch out it’s life for a few more years. does any one know of some way to bring back it’s pliability
It’s a rare classic car that does not have replacement parts for what I need, so I need information to soften the rubber parts I all ready have. If you don’t have an answer to the question or don’t know anything about what you are talking about. Do not reply.

I work hard and support my family on a shoestring. I am getting a refund and am getting a replacement car. I should spend as much as possible on a car, maybe save some, help SO other pay on his fines. But I could spend a bit less on the car and get by okay. I found the most wonderful thing and completely fell in love with it- but it costs $500 (negotiated down from $650). Its the GoKart I’ve wanted since I was a kid, its the best deal ever, practically a steal. I havent splurged and spent as much as $100 on myself for any luxuries since my son was born 9 years ago. I really want it, and me & my son could soup it up and ride it together. Its a 2seater 6horsepower Yerf-Dog GoKart, it goes up to 35mph but is safe and recommended 12and up, it has roll bars and a yerf-dog leather seats. I’ve never owned anything like. I have plans of how I’d restore it, what parts to get, talked to folks who can assist and i can do it cheap, its in good condition. The guy selling it has other buyer, I need to decide in the morning. As a resposible mother I would feel like I squandered my family money selfishly, I should be saving for an emergency. But I deserve something after 10 years of devoting every penny to teh bills and my boy and I would make memories. Its a once in a lifetime chance. My husband doesnt think its that great an idea but isnt really against it, I know he wouldnt be happy but he told me I have never asked for anything in 10 years of marraige and never treat myself to luxuries, I’m too practical a person. My husband has expensive drums and disc golf equipment. But we are on a shoestring budget. Either way I go here I lose, I will regret speding money on it if I get it, and I will forever regret passing he it up if I dont. A classic handmade Yerf is out of production and the guys divorcing and parting with it for peanuts. Please give me your opinions!!!!

Not necessarily this exact car, but with the basics of this project car or even slightly worse. For my first car, my dad and I are looking into restoring a classic muscle car. My dad and I can restore the car completely except for the upholstery, but the paint-job, engine replacement, and most other requirements can be done by my dad. I was wondering on average, how much could we possibly spend by restoring a firebird like this or even a 69 camaro (also looking at one of these beauties). Thanks everyone
We were also looking at a few 68,67 chevelles and a 70 roadrunner, near the same condition as the firebird up top in the link.

i know this is a stupid question, but i’m going to start driving soon and would do anything for a 70’s chevelle or similar car, but insurance would be ridiculously high. also, where should i start if i want to learn about maintenance and parts and all that good stuff?

Anyone know any games with old cars in it…..like Motor City Online. That is what i’m looking for. Cars 1930’s - 1970’s or so. It dosn’t have to be online just any game with classic cars that you can customize. Thanks .

So we have had classic cars for one generation, baseball cards for another. So I was watching my 14 year old nephew yesterday and wondered what he will be buying and saving for the future.
Also, what will all of the twenty somethings today be collecting when they get older and closer to 40?
