Between the two, I’d like to get one of them for my next vehicle.

The benz is diesel, a pure classic, fun, and can get like 36MPG on the highway, but since it is a diesel, repairs are going to be expensive and places like auto zone and napa only carry a limited selection of replacement parts for due to the fact it’s a European brand

The Volvo, also European, is a fun car as well as I got to drive both of them. The one I drove had a turbo, was slick, and just a fun car altogether. About 34ish on the highway, but is gasoline. But since it’s a european car, parts are expensive and hard to come by for some reason other then ordering them online.

Do I really need to take these cars to the dealership to get serviced or can I work on them my own? I’m mechanically inclined and do all the work myself with my other vehicles (Saturn coupe and Toyota pickup) and they run perfect.

Which one would be better in terms or reliability, low maintenance, performance, and easy part selection?
