Well i have had my car for about a year now its still under warranty however its going to end soon and it recently broke down and needs major repairs the warranty is covering it and its a 2004 Cadillac Deville with less than 70k miles on it and needs a new head gasket a rear window assembly and has a loose case causing a transmission leak and leaking axle. Its starting to feel like i got stuck with a lemon…. so the question is…once its fixed do i off it by selling to a dealer or private buyer im really looking into buying a classic car for my daily driving i only commute 40 miles to work and i ride a motorcycle everywhere else so it would only be used for that purpose what is involved in buying a classic car as a daily driver…and what recommendations do you have on the vehicle my limit is 10k at max and i am very mechanically inclined as well…i love american muscle cars 60’s-70’s so should i buy a classic or get a used car for under 10k? please list the types of cars as well…
so with a classic car my plan would be to gut the classic and slowly replace the parts with newer technology brakes, engine, transmission, etc… so parts are more easily available.
If i were to get a newer vehicle im currently looking into a nice used lincoln town car or ls seeing as they are pretty reliable and fairly affordable….any recommendations as to what i should do?
