I own a classic Chevrolet with an original metallic paint job that has been garage-kept it’s whole life. However I recently moved onto my college campus where no garaged or shaded parking is available, so she now sits in the parking lot in the vicious Texas sun all day every day. I recently purchased a car cover, a Budgelite Semi-custom Truck Cover made of spun-bonded polypropelene in an attempt to protect her from the elements. I am wondering if this low-level material, economic form of protection will be sufficient defense against the notoriously destructive Texas sun, and if it will hold up against the occasional thunderstorm. The cover is rated as an “indoor use/outdoor applicable” unit. Thanks for any and all help.
