I am about to buy a classic mini mayfair 998cc car but I cant fins a decent quote. Cheapest is 2700 with Acorn insurance. Other companies have quoted around 4k and even upto 6k. Its just stupid.

Anyway, Im turning 19 in february 19th so will be buying then but looks like I need to gold dig if its like this for insurance.

Anyone one of you clever clogs know any companies who will take me on ?

Tried: Adrian Flux, Elephant, Admiral, Acorn, and a few others. IKUBE says ring back next month as they dont have tariffs in place yet O_o lol!
Ive tried googling this and have found no help.

Preferably classic insurance for 19 year olds.

Alright, prepare for the life story.

So, since the day i was born I have been a very shy person (stand in the corner type). I have alot of trouble starting conversations, sure if someone talks to me I’ll respond but I just can’t keep it going. Problem is, no one wants to talk to me these days. I think it’s Because I’m boring or according to my mother I look like I want to stab someone all the time. I don’t even know I’m that. I guess my ‘normal face’ has turned into ‘angry face’. That’ll happen after many years of being a loner. I was bullied in school but I never just sat there and took it, I always fought back, verbally and physically. But you get rid of one bully and someone else comes along. For some reason I always got mouth offed at, I wouldn’t even be looking at the person and I would still get the classic “what the f**k you looking at!?” so anyway I left school during grade 11, got sick of it all. Decided to work full time at, wait for it… Yeah hungry jacks. Eventually, bought a car. On $8 an hour….yeah that took some time. Finally I got my license, all of a sudden people started talking to me. Haha, the irony. Most the people were immature/retarded there anyway, So I quit. Now I work for my dad, driving a van 10hrs a day. Doesn’t really help me meeting people though, not at my age anyway. I also work Saturday nights at Woolworths as a nightfill assistant. Nobody my age there either. I read somewhere working out helps your Self Esteam. So I’ve been going to the gym 3 days a week for the past 4months. Hasn’t helped to be honest. Gotten bigger, still shy though.

However, Audi seems to be the sexiest looking car but I was under the impression they are unreliable and very costly to repair and maintain. I know VW, the parent company, are not known very well for reliability. Car magazines seem to have mixed reviews… I’m more into classic American cars more than German cars

So we have had classic cars for one generation, baseball cards for another. So I was watching my 14 year old nephew yesterday and wondered what he will be buying and saving for the future.

Also, what will all of the twenty somethings today be collecting when they get older and closer to 40?

i have a 1991 rover mini that im in the middle of restoring (im almost 16) the car is 21 years old now so doesn’t qualify as a classic (i believe) but i know that when it becomes a classic i can get insurance on it untill i’m 25 so i want to know that if my mother is listed as the primary driver can i be put on the insurance as a secondary driver (at the age of 20) ……………….or am i wrong, does the mini become a classic at a later age than 25?
